Sidi is 4 years old when he leaves Mali for the first time for France to undergo an operation in the hope of being able to walk. We discovered then that he is suffering from brittle bone disease, that is to say that his bones are very fragile and that they can break anytime.
On returning to France for further care, the verdict is returned : "Sidi must remain in his wheelchair", muscle tensions have broken both femurs. Finally, despite his courage, and his pains to walk with his walker, his efforts to overcome his disability will have been in vain.

During his second stay, Sidi followed brilliantly the 1st grade class at the local elementary school. He is a studious, brilliant pupil who is eager to learn and to socialize. If his hopes to walk are gone, his determination to succeed is incredible, but it cannot be achieved without the help of our association. Indeed, a child with such a disability like Sidi cannot go to school without a helper. This is a mandatory requirement from the director for Sidi's safety.

The association "En chemin avec Sidi – On the Way with Sidi" is constituted by his family of the heart and by friends sensitive to Sidi's development. The association plans to provide the necessary support and financial means for Sidi to benefit from a school environment that will enable him to face the future that he deserves.
Let us hope for a better life by helping him to grow and develop in the best conditions through your donations, and ensure him the future he looked for when he first came to France in November 2015.
